Conventional Power Plant Technologies of the next Generation

The energy strategy of the EU Commission specifies the generation mix for electric energy and sets associated targets to be reached for each strategy stage. The share of wind power and photovoltaics in this energy generation mix, however,
will not be available as a reliable and steady source and will have to be replaced or added to by other energy sources at short notice.
