Within the Association of German Engineers (VDI) the branch Women in the Engineering Profession (fib – Frauen im Ingenieurberuf) is representative of 8,000 women engineers in Germany and Europe. We share common goals with other European initiatives for women in engineering and sciences:

 

Promoting the interest of young women in the fields of technology and sciences
Improving the retention of women engineers and scientists in their professions
Breaking down barriers, obstacles and prejudices
Promoting the interests of women engineers and scientists in politics, industry, federations
Empowering colleagues in their daily professional lives
