Building upon previous Successes
There are thousands of ageing bridge structures in Europe alone. Many of them are in need of serious maintenance, retrofitting, re-commissioning or, in the most extreme of cases, de-commissioning. And ever since the Morandi Bridge disaster, the topic of bridges has become increasingly relevant. The international VDI Bridge Assessment and Rehabilitation Workshop will bring together technical experts and specialists in bridge maintenance and operation as well as civil engineering to discuss the current challenges and opportunities in bridge management and rehabilitation.
From effective monitoring of existing structures and optimization, strengthening and repair to the best procedures for dealing with liabilities and de-commissioning structures, this workshop will give you insight into the technical, practical, legal and financial aspects of bridge assessment and rehabilitation. It is also a unique networking opportunity, bringing together renowned international experts, consultants and technical specialists in bridge construction, operation, maintenance and design.
