The Additive Manufacturing Landscape

The Additive Manufacturing Landscape | International VDI Workshop

The international VDI workshop “The Additive Manufacturing Landscape” will provide you with an overview of the worldwide developments in the field of additive manufacturing (AM) with a focus on key sector applications, standards, regulations and especially possible sources of project funding. As an interactive workshop, it will allow you to get involved in the discussion and engage with relevant questions. Prior to the workshop, participants have the opportunity to send us their questions to influence the workshop program directly.

Explore the additive manufacturing landscape

AM offers a wide range of exciting possibilities in industries such as automotive, machine and plant engineering, construction or healthcare. 3D-printing technologies allow for flexible, high speed and cost-efficient design-driven manufacturing processes and make highly complex designs possible that could not be realised with conventional production technologies. Following the trend many companies are already integrating AM into their processes. But to make the most of this forward-thinking technology, adopters and users have to consider the technical and operational challenges it presents and need to be aware of the specifics of the different AM markets, as well as of the the according developments and challenges of the technology. The VDI “Additive Manufacturing Landscape” workshop will help you gain a deeper understanding of the realm of AM and will present a variety of applications. You will also find out about European and local funding sources as well as (future) potentials of AM.
